Yogyakarta –SEAMEO Regional Centre for QITEP in Mathematics (SEAQiM) conducted Workshop on Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) for SDN 054 Tikukur Bandung. Forty-five (45) primary school teachers participated in the workshop at Ki Hajar Dewantara Aula BBGP DIY on Friday, ten march 2023.
Pengawas Bina Dinas Pendidikan Bandung Dra. Hayati, M.Pd., expressed her gratitude to SEAQiM for facilitating the teachers to enhance their knowledge, insight and experience about RME. Furthermore, the event was opened by the Director of SEAQiM, represented by Dra Puji Iryanti, M.Sc.Ed. She warmly welcomed all the teachers to learn about RME with SEAQiM.
During the workshop, the participants learnt and explored the RME approach. They got the materials such as the rationale of RME, principles of RME, mathematical models and socio-mathematical norms. Moreover, they did the discussion and hands–on activities guided by SEAQiM’s training specialist Ms Wisnuningtyas Wirani.
