SEAQiM has held many seminars in order to provide a forum for many teachers, educators and researchers to review the current issues, and exchange innovative ideas. Seminars are mostly funded by the Centre.
Seminars are held to inform the teachers on the results of research that has been done. This includes Seminar on Disaster Risk Reduction and Seminar on Mathematics Regional Wide Assessment, and Seminar on STEAM as innovation in Education. Call for participation is informed through the Centre’s website
One of the biggest seminars/conferences was conducted as a joint conference entitled International Joint Conference on STEM Education. In collaboration with The Institute for the Promotion of Teaching Science and Technology (IPST), Thailand, and SEAMEO QITEP in Science, SEAQiM provided a forum for Mathematics and Science educators from various countries to share their research results and best practices related to current issues regarding Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Education. The event was conducted from 18 to 19 November 2020 in Yogyakarta.
