Outstanding OKU Teachers Participate in STEM Training at SEAQiM

Yogyakarta, June 29, 2026 — The Education Office of Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) has recognized its outstanding teachers by providing them with an intensive training program at the Southeast Asian Regional Centre for Quality Improvement for Teachers and Education Personnel in Mathematics (SEAQiM). The three-day program is being held from June 29 to July 1, 2026.

A total of 20 outstanding teachers were award to participate in the training. The delegation was officially accompanied and handed over to SEAQiM, the host institution, by the Head of the OKU Regency Education Office, Kadarisman, S.Ag., M.Si., accompanied by the Head of the Teacher and Education Personnel (GTK) Division.

In his opening remarks, Kadarisman explained that SEAQiM was chosen as the training venue because of its remarkable progress in developing and promoting innovative teaching and learning models. One of the key topics of the program is the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) approach, which has become a major focus of educational innovation.

According to him, the training serves not only as a form of recognition for outstanding teachers but also as an effort to strengthen their professional competencies, enabling them to deliver more innovative and future-oriented learning experiences. It is expected that the knowledge and skills gained during the program will be implemented in their respective schools, contributing to the improvement of educational quality throughout Ogan Komering Ulu Regency.
