Learning Innovation during Pandemic

SEAMEO Regional Centre for QITEP in Mathematics (SEAQiM) conducted International Seminar: Mathematics Learning Innovation in The New Normal on 12 – 13 July 2021. This event is one of the celebrations of the 12th Anniversary SEAQiM.

This Internationa Seminar aimed to provide updated information about learning innovation and gather opportunities for educators to foster collaboration and partnership. The event was participated by more than 200 participants. It was facilitated by the experts, namely Dr Cyntia Seto from Academy of Singapore Teacher, Dr Kristof Fenyvesi from University of Jyvaskyla Finland, Prof Dr Matthias Ludwig from Goethe University Frankfurt, Dr John Staley from National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, and Prof Allan L White from Sydney. Moreover, this event also shares best practice presentations in innovating mathematics learning from the three best participants of the Workshop Mathematics Teaching-Learning Model.

At the end of the event, SEAQiM also announced the winner of the teacher contest and the Sam Ratulangi Award 2021. SAM Ratulangi Award went to Ms Randha Ayu Nurlianadewi from SMAN 1 Karangkobar Indonesia as the first winner; Ms Donna Lyn M Geronimo from  Camarines Sur National High School, Naga City, the Philippines as the second winner; and Ms Nur Aziah Binti Nasir from SMK Desa Cempaka, Nilai, Malaysia as the third winner.
