Yogyakarta – Seven SEAMEO Centres in Indonesia have come to an agreement that, regardless of the COVID-19 pandemic, the capacity of management and staff of each Centre must be continuously developed. In response to this, SEAQiM supported by other Indonesian SEAMEO Centres, hosted an online seminar entitled “Pengembangan Diri untuk Membangun Karakter Pribadi yang Profesional” or “Personal Development to Build Professional Character” on May 8, 2020.
A total of 83 participants from 7 SEAMEO Centres Indonesia, namely SEAQiM, SEAQiS, SEAQiL, SEAMOLEC, BIOTROP, RECFON, and CECCEP joined in this virtual programme. Dr. Trisnani Widowati, the invited facilitator from Universitas Negeri Semarang, shared with the participants some tips and tricks to build professionality in the workplace. She also encouraged the participants to discuss with her the challenges of working from home during pandemic.
The two-hour seminar, which utilized WebEx platform, run very well with Ms. Wahyu Kharina Praptiwi as the moderator. The participants enjoyed the session despite the absence of direct face-to-face interaction.
