Yogyakarta – All management and staff of SEAQiM are delighted to welcome Dr. Farida Nurhasanah to the Centre. She has been officially appointed by the Secretary General, MoEC of Indonesia, as Deputy Director for Programme (DDP) of SEAQiM since June 2020, replacing the previous designation of Dr. Ganung Anggraeni. Before joining SEAQiM, Dr. Farida devoted herself as a lecturer at Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta, Indonesia.
Commenting on her new position with the Centre, Dr. Farida said, “I am honoured to be joining SEAQiM during such an exciting time. I am looking forward to working closely with the team to continue increasing the quality of teachers and education personnel in mathematics in Southeast Asia.”
Dr. Sumardyono, SEAQiM’s Director, believed that Dr. Farida’s experience will be a valuable asset to the Centre at a time when it is seeing growing demand for various training courses and other programmes from across the region.
Two years after graduating her Master’s degree in Mathematics Education from Indonesia University of Education, Dr. Farida pursued her doctoral from the same university on a Government of Indonesia scholarship. In 2014, she was awarded sandwich-like at National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
