Yogyakarta – Wednesday, 6 January 2021, SEAQiM successfully conducted a half-day webinar participated by around 200 teachers, the STEM-holic Community (SHC) members. This community, which was established in 2020 by Mr Hardani, the alumnae of SEAQiM’s Regular Course in STEM for Mathematics Learning, aims to share best practices in integrating STEM into mathematics teaching and learning among teachers in Indonesia.
Entitled “Basic STEM: What, Why, and How”, this event has been one of the Centre’s commitments to the quality improvement of mathematics teachers in the country. The facilitator, Ms I Gusti Ayu Russasmita Sri Padmi, provided the participants with some basic information about STEM and how to integrate the subject in daily mathematics teaching and learning process at school.
Working in close collaboration with SEAQiM, SHC has planned to conduct some follow-up programmes to cater to the needs of its members, which consist of, but not limited to Training of Trainers (ToT) for SHC district coordinator and coaching.
