Yogyakarta – Thursday, 21 January 2021, several days after successfully conducting its 2021’s first webinar, SEAQiM collaborated with Regional Agency for Quality Assurance on Education (LPMP) of Nusa Tenggara Barat organized a webinar entitled “Learning Mathematics Joyfully with STEM-based Activities”. More than 300 participants, consisting of primary school teachers from West Nusa Tenggara Province, join the activity virtually via Zoom.
In this two-hour webinar, SEAQiM’s Specialist Coordinator, Mr Wahid Yunianto, introduced STEM Education to the participants. He presented many kinds of at-home STEM project with low-cost STEM activities. At the end of the session, some participants asked some major questions concerning STEM in mathematics education, particularly on implementing STEM activities to make joyful mathematics learning vibes in their school.
During the opening ceremony, Mohamad Mustari, PhD, the head of LPMP NTB, expressed his great appreciation to SEAQiM for providing the webinar that accommodates teachers’ needs, especially related to STEM activities in mathematics learning. Furthermore, despite the increasing number of Covid-19 cases, he hoped that educational activities hosted by SEAQiM, such as workshop and training course, can be carried out regularly via the online platform.
