SEAQiM and Universitas PGRI Silampari Seal Strategic Partnership with MoU Signing

Yogyakarta, 24 April 2025 – SEAMEO QITEP in Mathematics (SEAQiM) officially welcomed representatives from Universitas PGRI Silampari (Unpari) for an Audiensi Kerja Sama dan Penandatanganan Perjanjian Kerja Sama (PKS), marking the beginning of a strategic collaboration in mathematics education and professional development.

The session, held at the SEAQiM Conference Room, brought together key representatives from both institutions. The Unpari delegation was led by Drajat Friansah, S.Si., M.Pd., Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology; Dr. Idul Adha, M.Pd., Head of Mathematics Education Program; and Dr. Khathibul Umam Z. N., M.Pd., an accompanying faculty member.

SEAQiM was represented by its Board of Directors, management, and partnership division members.

In his opening remarks, Drajat Friansah expressed strong enthusiasm for the collaboration, highlighting Unpari’s commitment to expanding its engagement in regional educational development. “This collaboration is a strategic step for Universitas PGRI Silampari to further engage with SEAMEO centres. After a fruitful three-year partnership with SEAMEO SEAMOLEC, we are excited to now build meaningful programs with SEAQiM,” he stated. He also expressed particular interest in implementing SEAQiM’s educational initiatives at the university and inquired about technical arrangements for student internships at SEAQiM.

SEAQiM Director Dr. Sumardyono warmly welcomed the initiative. “We are pleased to establish this partnership, and we are optimistic that the joint programs will bring valuable contributions, particularly in the Lubuk Linggau region,” he remarked. His remarks emphasized the importance of extending SEAQiM’s expertise beyond Yogyakarta through collaboration with universities across Indonesia.

The event continued with a strategic discussion session led by Dr. Sri Wulandari Danoebroto, Deputy Director for Programme at SEAQiM. Both parties exchanged ideas on potential collaborative activities in SEAQiM’s flagship programs, including implementing SEAQiM’s programs, joint research and community service initiatives, internship opportunities, and participation in SEAQiM workshops and training programs.

The signing of the PKS symbolizes a shared commitment to enriching mathematics education through cooperation, innovation, and sustainable program implementation. Both SEAQiM and Unpari look forward to a fruitful partnership that benefits educators, students, and local communities.
