Bangkok, 17 July 2024—The SEAMEO Secretariat hosted the annual Centre Director Meeting (CDM) at the S31 Sukhumvit Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand. This offline event brought together directors and staff from 26 SEAMEO Centres, SEAMEO Secretariat, Associate Members, Affiliate Members, and 31 educational partners, including Dr. Sumardyono and Agus Limbang Wardani.
The event commenced with opening remarks from the Director of the SEAMEO Secretariat, who expressed heartfelt gratitude for all attendees’ participation and emphasized the importance of this meeting in strengthening collaboration for the advancement of education in SEAMEO member countries. The Director also closed the event by reiterating the significance of continued collaboration to foster educational development.
The Centre Director Meeting aims to inform about the Centre’s programs and activities to receive support and input from SEAMES and other SEAMEO Centres, report on collaborations established in the previous year, and open opportunities for new partnerships with various stakeholders, especially the invited partners.
The meeting also provided SEAQIM with opportunities to explore collaborations with partners such as The Knowledge-Lab Singapore, Krya, Visang Education, Teach for All, Nisai Group UK, EdTech Hub, and several others.
The Centre Director Meeting serves as a pivotal platform for SEAMEO Centres to share progress, strategize, and forge new partnerships that will drive educational development across Southeast Asia.
