Following up on the initial MoU between both institutions, SEAQiM and Aceh Jaya Education, Youth, and Sport Office conducted a Customized Training on Mathematics Learning Innovation and Classroom Action Research for Primary School Teachers on 7 to 11 November 2016. The official opening of the programme was held on the first day at Education, Youth, and Sport Office, Aceh Jaya. The Centre sent a team consisting of two facilitators and two assistants. They were Mr. Fajar Sadiq, Mrs. Fina Hanifah Hidayati, Ms. Hani Puspita Sari, and Mr. Amri Danades.

A total of 30 primary school teachers participated in the training. They learnt how to teach mathematics using enjoyable and meaningful methods for their students. The participants were also guided to do class action research. Therefore, one of the training outputs was in the form of a draft of scientific papers based on their research at class.
During five days when the programme took place, the weather was not really good, it rained hardy almost every day. Nonetheless, the participants remained constrained eager to join in the training.
