Bandung, 2 October 2025 – SEAQiM participated in the exhibition organised by SEAQiL during the 16th Annual International Symposium of Foreign Language Learning (16th AISOFOLL) held in Hilton Bandung Hotel. The exhibition featured eight institutions: SEAMEO BIOTROP, CECCEP, SEAMOLEC, RECFON, SEAQiL, SEAQiM, SEAQiS, and the Language Development and Fostering Agency of the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, Republic of Indonesia.
The purpose of this exhibition was to strengthen synergy and enhance the visibility of the roles of SEAMEO Centres in Indonesia, as well as to provide new inspiration for participants in developing education, research, and cross-disciplinary collaboration at both national and regional levels. The exhibition visitors were symposium participants, comprising teachers, practitioners, and language activists.
Ridwan, as the exhibition coordinator, stated: “We hope SCI’s participation can introduce the Centre not only to its direct target audience but also extend into the language field. Even though it does not directly target this area, we expect participants to share the information they gain from the exhibition with their schools, institutions, or colleagues.”
SEAQiM assigned two representatives to the exhibition: Bungkus Dias Prasetyo, Specialist, and Lely Dian Puspita from the Division of Partnership, International Relations, Public Relations, and Marketing. The SEAQiM team, with the support of all divisions, prepared various exhibition materials, including printed leaflets introducing SEAQiM’s flagship program—the Regular Course. They also presented Mondrian puzzles, Frog Leap, Magic Cards, the Tower of Hanoi, an eco-print catalogue, the 2024 photo contest catalogue, and the SEAMEJ mathematics journal. Additionally, SEAQiM souvenirs such as T-shirts were given to lucky visitors who won challenges and enjoyed other fun mathematics games.
“We also brought GeoGebra, along with attractive merchandise prepared for visitors who could complete challenges quickly,” said Bungkus Dias Prasetyo.
SEAQiM’s participation in this exhibition was a valuable opportunity to introduce various innovations and programs aimed at improving the quality of mathematics teachers in Southeast Asia. Through this activity, SEAQiM aims to foster collaborative opportunities with various partners while also directly listening to the public’s aspirations and needs. In this way, SEAQiM can continue contributing to mathematics education that is relevant, innovative, and impactful.
