
SEAQiM welcomed a delegation from the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training (FTIK) at Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid Pekalongan for a strategic institutional visit on Wednesday, 4 February 2026. The visit marked an important chapter in strengthening and renewing long-standing academic collaboration between the two institutions, particularly in mathematics education.
The delegation from FTIK UIN K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid Pekalongan comprised key academic and institutional leaders, including the Vice Dean for Academic and Institutional Affairs, the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Cooperation, the Head of the Mathematics Education (Tadris Matematika) Study Program, and the Study Program Secretary. Their presence reflected the faculty’s strong commitment to developing high-quality academic networks and sustainable partnerships.
The visit was initiated as part of a continuous effort to reinforce institutional partnerships and expand collaborative opportunities that are relevant to current and future educational challenges. Through this visit, both institutions reaffirmed their shared commitment to improving the quality of mathematics education, teacher professionalism, and academic innovation at national and regional levels.
The visit focused on the formal renewal of the MoU between UIN K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid Pekalongan and SEAQiM. During the MoU session, representatives from both institutions reviewed the scope and substance of the existing cooperation agreement, reflecting on previous collaborations while aligning future cooperation with evolving institutional priorities. The discussion emphasized the importance of adaptive partnerships that respond to developments in mathematics education, research, and capacity building.
SEAQiM presented various opportunities for collaboration, including academic exchanges, joint programs, capacity-building activities, and potential research initiatives in mathematics education. The dialogue concluded with an agreement on concrete follow-up actions, ensuring the partnership would move beyond formal agreements toward practical, measurable outcomes.
