Yogyakarta – SEAQiM warmly welcomed its new personnel in a monthly meeting held on 9 April 2019. They are Mr. Gusnandar Yoga Utama and Ms. Wisnuningtyas Wirani.
Along with one of SEAQiM’s goals to provide high quality education relevant to 21st century skill teaching capability, recruiting more qualified specialists majoring in either mathematics or mathematics education is a must.
“… SEAQiM could be the first place for mathematics teachers in SEAMEO Member Countries to learn about mathematics. Therefore, I am proud to be the part of it,” said Mr. Gusnandar who graduated from the Department of Mathematics, Gadjah Mada University.
Within the recruitment process, only 20 applicants passed the administration selection, who later took a potential academic test and a substantial test on 13 February 2019. The five best applicants were then shortlisted to have micro teaching and interview on the next day. The official announcement of the best two candidates was announced at the end of February.
