Yogyakarta – SEAQiM worked in close collaboration with STEM-holic Community (SHC), a forum embracing mathematics teachers who have a strong interest in STEM education, organizing training of trainers (ToT) as part of their commitment to building teachers competence in STEM. This programme was conducted between 8 and 11 February 2021 via Zoom Meeting and Learning Management System (LMS).
The ToT was designed to train 40 district coordinators of SHC who later mentor as well as deliver lessons and presentations to the community members across Indonesia. Therefore, the training was focused on the knowledge and skills required to STEM for mathematics learning.
During the training, the participants learned some STEM basic education topics, such as STEM activity in mathematics education, writing best practice in STEM education, and the engineering design process. They also engaged in a lively discussion with the facilitators of SEAQiM academic team.
