SEAQiM and HAFECS Forge New Educational Synergy for Greater Impact in Education

Barito, South Kalimantan—In the latest year, December 20, 2024, SEAQiM has not stopped its efforts to collaborate with various educational institutions in Indonesia. SEAQiM visited HAFECS (Highly Functioning Education Consulting Services) headquarters within the Global Islamic Boarding School complex. The meeting began a strategic partnership that aims to enhance teacher development, curriculum design, and regional cooperation to enhance educational development and create meaningful impacts within South Kalimantan and beyond.

The session commenced with a warm welcome by Dr. Sumardyono, Director of SEAQiM, who expressed his enthusiasm for the potential partnership. He emphasized that this exploratory discussion with Prof. Sutarto Hadi, was an excellent opportunity to strengthen collaborative possibilities. “This marks the beginning of an exciting impactful cooperation with HAFECS,” he noted.

The discussion continued with a visual presentation showcasing HAFECS’s profile, achievements, and goals. Presented by Danang Bagus Yudisira, Deputy Director of Research & Development at HAFECS, and Prof. Sutarto Hadi, the presentation delved into various collaborative opportunities.

Mr. Danang emphasized HAFECS’s efforts to scale its operations to a regional level in ASEAN. He outlined areas of cooperation, including curriculum enhancement, teaching certification processes, and research aimed at improving the Human Development Index (HDI).

Prof. Sutarto Hadi, a long-time collaborator with SEAMEO and SEAQiM, proposed SEAQiM’s extensive experience in training Southeast Asian educators. He highlighted the alignment between SEAQiM’s training programs and HAFECS’s initiatives, suggesting joint efforts in in-country training programs and mutual recognition of certification.

Dr. Sumardyono detailed SEAQiM’s comprehensive programs. He emphasized the potential synergy between SEAQiM’s established frameworks and HAFECS’s innovative approaches.

The meeting concluded with a commitment to exploring and solidifying the proposed initiatives. As both organizations look towards a shared vision of educational excellence, the collaboration between HAFECS and SEAQiM promises to enhance the quality of teacher training and curriculum development across Southeast Asia, setting a benchmark for impactful partnerships.
