Advancing Math Learning Through STEM: SEAQiM and Muara Enim Complete Batch 2 In-Country Course

SEAQiM, in collaboration with the Education and Culture Office of Muara Enim Regency, successfully conducted the second batch of the In-Country Course on STEM in Mathematics Learning for Junior High School Mathematics Teachers. The three-day program was held from November 21 to 23, 2025, at Griya Sintesa Hotel, Muara Enim.

A total of 52 mathematics teachers enthusiastically participated in the training. Both the local committee and the SEAQiM team collaborated closely to ensure the smooth implementation of the course, providing full support and well-organized arrangements throughout the event.

Four facilitators accompanied the participants, they are Mr Bungkus Dias Prasetyo, Mr Gusnandar Yoga Utama, Mr Rizki, and Mrs Wisnuningtyas Wirani from morning until evening, guiding them through key STEM concepts, including Introduction to STEM, the Engineering Design Process, Mathematics and Games, and various other stimulating and challenging activities designed to deepen their understanding of STEM-based learning.

Representing the Education and Culture Office, Mr. Marsip Agustam, S.Pd, M.Pd.I, expressed his appreciation by thanking the facilitators and the SEAQiM team for their dedication and hard work. He encouraged teachers to share the knowledge gained during the course with their learning communities and school networks. He also conveyed warm regards to the Director of SEAQiM and wished all participants a safe journey home. Furthermore, he reminded participants to respond to assignment letters from school principals by proposing relevant follow-up activities at the school level.

During the closing ceremony, a representative of the participants shared their impressions, expressing great enthusiasm and satisfaction with the training. They highlighted the valuable insights gained on STEM concepts, STEM activities, problem-solving strategies, and innovative learning approaches. The representative also extended gratitude to the facilitators and the Muara Enim Education Office for organizing such a meaningful program. They expressed hope that similar opportunities would continue to be provided in the future.
