JAKARTA-The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen), in collaboration with SEAMEO CECCEP and the SEAMEO Secretariat, is officially hosting the SEAMEO Centre Policy Research Network (CPRN) Summit 2026. Held from June 9 to 11, 2026, in Jakarta, the event brings together around 200 participants, including researchers, academics, policymakers, and educational practitioners from across Southeast Asia.
Themed around bridging the gap between research, policy, and practice, the summit addresses critical challenges in future education. Key focus areas include digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI), educational access gaps, and strengthening inclusive, equitable, and sustainable learning systems across the ASEAN region.
The prestigious forum features a distinguished lineup of regional leaders and experts. Minister and jigh-ranking officials from Kemendikdasmen opened the summit alongside directors and senior representatives from the SEAMEO Secretariat and SEAMEO CECCEP, who are leading the policy dialogues. Vice Minister of the Higher Education Science and Technology, SEAMEO Secretariate and Regional Centres and prominent scholars and deans from top reputable universities and institutions —such as Hiroshima University, Melbourne University, the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) and UNNES—are actively participating, contributing vital evidence-based research. Additionally, senior educational attaches, ministerial advisors, and international delegates from across the ASEAN member states are in attendance, fostering cross-border cooperation to shape cohesive, future-ready regional educational policies.
