Semarang – 17 February 2020, SEAQiM Director officially opened the second batch of customized course held in Plaza Hotel Semarang. It brings the theme lesson study in mathematics education.
Previously, representing Kota Semarang at the opening ceremony, the Secretary of Education Office welcomed all participants as well as SEAQiM’s facilitators and committee. He later said that that the better the way a teacher teaches, the better students’ achievement will be. Thus, he expected so much from the course.
The Customized Course on Lesson Study, which will end on 20 February 2020, is participated by 200 junior high school mathematics teachers from various private and public schools across Kota Semarang. For the next days, the participants will be engaged in activities called plan-do-see which are the basic steps of implementing lesson study in teaching mathematics.
Both SEAQiM and Education Office Kota Semarang hope that the chosen topic will contribute to teachers’ professional development in the district.
