Using GeoGebra in an Hybrid Mathematics Classroom

Even though the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic has ended, it is not impossible that one day the world of education will have to face a similar situation that requires distance learning to be carried out. GeoGebra offers a variety of functions that can maximize student learning and engagement when face-to-face learning is not possible.

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted various aspects of society, one of which is education. One of the policies taken by the Indonesian government regarding education is hybrid learning, namely limited face-to-face learning activities with 50% student capacity for each class, while the remaining 50% take part in online learning through a video conferencing platform. Examples of platforms that are popularly used are Zoom or Google Meet. In
addition, blended learning is still being implemented. This kind of situation provides a challenge to learning mathematics, because mathematics is an abstract subject and is generally considered difficult by students.
