Low Cost STEM Project: My Unique Shoebox

The  STEM  project  applies  measurement  concept  for  3rd  grade  elementary  school  students.  Students  solve  problems   with   the   Engineering   Design   Process.   They   recycled unused cardboard into useful daily items, namely shoe  storage  boxes.  The  measurement  ability  of  grade  3  students  is  still  very  basic,  so  they  are  looking  for  ways  to  solve  this  measurement  challenge.  They  use  concrete  objects  “shoes”  as  measuring  tools  and  rulers  to  find  out  the  exact  size.
