Many of us are familiar with the formula for the area of kite and rhombus, which is L=1/2×d1×d2 in which L symbolize the area, while d1 and d2 symbolizes the diagonals. Although we have known the formula for a long time, we have only used the formula when dealing with the shapes of kite and rhombus. However, this formula can also be used to find the area of other quadrilaterals on a condition that they have diagonals that are perpendicular to each other. It would be better if the understanding of this concept is also becoming the goal of mathematics learning in our classrooms.
