Making Mathematics Fun, Whose Responsibility?

Mathematics is often considered one of the most challenging subjects by many students. Many students hope the math teacher will not be present to avoid this lesson. This fear of mathematics is not expected to produce a generation that is antipathetic to mathematics. Ironically, they are the ones who will later become the golden generation as the driving force for the development of the Indonesian nation. This fear usually begins to be seen when students enter adolescence, namely at the 4th-grade level of elementary school to high school. Most of them show extraordinary
enthusiasm when doing numeracy activities at an early age. They seemed happy and excited when working on student activity sheets, which usually contained concrete mathematical activities.
