The basic mathematical abilities of each student are different. Some have high skill levels, and some have low ones. In addition, the low enthusiasm and involvement of students who come from diverse family and cultural backgrounds is also a challenge. Students feel bored if the learning process is only delivered with conventional methods such as lectures and focusing on books. Furthermore, the dense routine in Islamic boarding schools also causes students to feel tired and unfocused in following the lessons. Therefore, the author needs to design a technology-based approach and interactive learning methods to increase motivation, participation, and achievement of student competencies in mathematics learning.
