
Yogyakarta, Indonesia — Monday, February 9, 2026, SEAMEO Regional Centre for QITEP in Mathematics (SEAQIM) proudly welcomed six students from Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) Kampus Tasikmalaya and Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) to join its academic and institutional internship program in 2026.
The arrival of these young aspiring educators marks another milestone in SEAQIM’s commitment to nurturing future leaders in mathematics education, research, and educational innovation. Through this internship program, students will gain first-hand experience in an international educational organization, explore professional practices, and contribute to various academic and communication initiatives at the Centre.
“This internship is not only an opportunity for students to apply their academic knowledge in a professional setting, but also a platform to build global perspectives, enhance collaboration skills, and foster innovation in education,” said Mr. Febriarto, Head Division of Partnership, International Public Relation, and Marketing, representing the management of SEAQIM.
The collaboration with UPI Tasikmalaya and UNY reflects SEAQIM’s ongoing partnership with higher education institutions across Indonesia, strengthening the bridge between universities and international educational organizations. The program is expected to inspire students to become future educators, researchers, and changemakers in mathematics education.
