Yogyakarta, 11 August 2025 – SEAMEO Regional Centre for QITEP in Mathematics (SEAQiM) officially welcomed a group of internship students from the Educational Technology Department, Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA). The welcoming session took place at SEAQiM’s headquarters and was attended by the Centre’s leadership team.
The students were received by Dr. Sri Wulandari Danoebroto, Director of SEAQiM, accompanied by Mrs. Puji Iryanti, Deputy Director for Administration. Dr. Sri Wulandari expressed her warm welcome and appreciation to the students for choosing SEAQiM as their internship destination. She highlighted that the internship program is a valuable opportunity for students to gain professional experience, develop skills, and understand the working environment within an international educational organization.
Mrs. Puji Iryanti also encouraged the students to make the most of their time at SEAQiM, to be proactive, and to contribute positively to the various projects and activities that they will be involved in. She emphasized the importance of discipline, teamwork, and adaptability in ensuring a fruitful internship experience.
Through this program, the internship students will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of tasks, including supporting educational programs, assisting in digital content development, and contributing to SEAQiM’s public relations and communication initiatives. These experiences are expected to equip them with both technical and soft skills relevant to their future careers.
SEAQiM hopes that this internship will not only provide meaningful learning experiences for the students but also strengthen the collaborative relationship between SEAQiM and Universitas Negeri Surabaya. Both institutions share the commitment to enhancing the quality of education in Southeast Asia, and such partnerships are seen as vital to achieving this shared vision.
The welcoming event concluded with a group photo session, marking the beginning of the students’ journey at SEAQiM. The Centre looks forward to seeing the positive contributions the students will bring during their internship period.
