SEAQiM Conducts Groundbreaking Trials of Innovative Teacher Proficiency Instrument for TPACK Skills Assessment

Yogyakarta- SEAQiM is currently developing an instrument designed to profile teacher skills related to Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK), and as such, samples are required for testing purposes. Consequently, a trial for the elementary and middle school-level teacher proficiency instruments was conducted on November 27 and 28, 2023, involving 60 teachers. The selection of teachers as samples was entirely entrusted to the Sleman district education office. During the selection process, attention was given to variations among teachers based on the following criteria: (1) Teaching Location, (2) Length of Teaching, (3) Educational Level; (4) Guru Penggerak/Non-Guru Penggerak; and (5) Age.

The total number of question items is 66, and participants are allocated 180 minutes to complete them. The questions include Compound Choice Questions, Questions with Compound Answers (Multiple Correct), Matchmaking Questions, Questions of Cause and Effect, and Simulation Problems. Gusnandar Yoga Utama and Uki Rahmawati Take the Lead in Providing Technical Insights and Support During Test Explanation Session.

Following the completion of the questions, participants are requested to fill out an evaluation form, encompassing information on various technical aspects of the test such as Language, Processing Time, Display, System/Platform, etc.

In addition, Agus Limbang, the person in charge of this activity, mentioned that this stage marks the initial implementation of the prepared questions. The aim is to gain a provisional understanding of the instrument’s effectiveness through data analysis. Subsequently, trials will be conducted in other regions to garner a more comprehensive perspective.
