Muara Enim, 17–19 November 2025 — The Ballroom of Griya Sintesa Hotel was filled with energy and enthusiasm as junior high school mathematics teachers gathered for the Customize Course on STEM for Mathematics Learning – Batch 1, organized by SEAQiM in collaboration with the Education and Culture Office of Muara Enim Regency.
The program opened with an engaging Mathematics and Games session, showing how simple games can transform complex concepts into enjoyable learning experiences. Participants then explored current issues in mathematics education and completed a Pre-Test before diving into STEM topics.
The second day was packed with hands-on learning, from STEM Activity and Mathematics in Context to Engineering Design Process and Computational Thinking. Group discussions and collaborative tasks brought vibrant interactions among participants.
On the final day, teachers participated in STEM Activity 2 followed by a Post-Test. Many expressed that the knowledge and strategies gained were practical and ready to be implemented in their classrooms.
SEAQiM hopes this training will spark creativity among teachers and support more contextual, enjoyable, and meaningful mathematics learning for students. The next batch is already eagerly anticipated.
