Philippines – Dr Sumardyono, the Director of SEAQiM, along with the SEAMEO Service Award (SSA) awardee from SEAQiM, participated in the entire series of events 52nd SEAMEO Council Conference. This biennial event is hosted by the Department of Education, Philippines, in cooperation with the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) Secretariat.
The invited specialist is Dr Sharon Locke, the director of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) STEM Center. Dr Locke is a long-time partner of the centre. Previously, she has worked with the centre on several programs, such as hosting one of the SEAQiM’s specialists as visiting scholar and facilitating one of the centre’s regular courses. As the director of a STEM centre, she has considerable experience in STEM education and research.
