During the visit, the Centre held workshops on ICT Integration into Mathematics Education from November 4 \u2013 5 2015 in the Gamma Room at PPPPTK Matematika. The 150 participants who attended the workshops consisted of primary school teachers, secondary school mathematics teachers, lecturers, teacher trainers and academic staff.<\/p>\n<p>The November 4 workshop was for primary school teachers. Participants were presented material on \u2018Cognitive Learning by Bug Analysis\u2019 and \u2018Flipped Learning within the Classroom\u2019. Conversely the workshop on November 5th was for junior and senior secondary school mathematics teachers. This consisted of sessions on \u2018Skills for Video Relection\u2019 and \u2018Lesson Plan Using Digital Content\u2019. During these workshops there was a strong focus on group discussion and using teacher experiences to come up with strategies for implementing ICT into classes.<\/p>\n<p>From November 4-5 afternoon sessions were also held for lecturers and academic staff. The sessions presented during this workshop included \u2018Current Situation of School Education in Japan\u2019, \u2018Do Digital Devices Work Better than Materials for Learning?\u2019 and \u2018Collaborative Brain Storming\u2019. Prof. Kanji Akahori presented his research about the effectiveness of papers, PCs and tablets in learning.
