{"id":7213,"date":"2025-10-09T11:47:28","date_gmt":"2025-10-09T04:47:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.qitepinmath.org\/en\/?p=7213"},"modified":"2025-10-09T11:47:28","modified_gmt":"2025-10-09T04:47:28","slug":"upi-tasikmalaya-visit-to-seaqim-strengthen-academic-collaboration-in-advancing-education-research-and-community-service","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.qitepinmath.org\/en\/our-news\/upi-tasikmalaya-visit-to-seaqim-strengthen-academic-collaboration-in-advancing-education-research-and-community-service\/","title":{"rendered":"UPI Tasikmalaya Visit to SEAQiM: Strengthen Academic Collaboration in Advancing Education, Research, and Community Service"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Yogyakarta, 7 October 2025 \u2014 The Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Centre for Quality Improvement of Teachers and Education Personnel in Mathematics (SEAQIM) warmly welcomed an academic delegation from the <em>Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar<\/em> <em>(PGSD),<\/em> UPI Kampus Tasikmalaya, for a meeting on prospective collaborations in advancing education, research, and community service.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The visit was part of UPI Tasikmalaya\u2019s ongoing efforts to strengthen education, research, and community engagement through institutional partnerships. The delegation consisted of six lecturers and one administrative staff member, led by Dr Ghulam Hamdu, Head of the PGSD Study Program.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Throughout the meeting, both institutions shared their visions and discussed potential initiatives that align with SEAQiM\u2019s mission to enhance the quality of mathematics education across Southeast Asia. Topics of discussion included capacity-building programs for teachers, collaborative workshops, joint research initiatives, and potential engagement in SEAQiM\u2019s flagship projects that promote innovative and contextual mathematics learning.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In her welcoming remarks, Dr. Sri Wulandari Danoebroto, Director of SEAQiM, expressed her enthusiasm for the collaboration, emphasizing the value of partnerships with higher education institutions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWe are delighted to welcome our colleagues from UPI Tasikmalaya. SEAQiM believes that through meaningful partnerships, we can reflect on our shared vision of developing competent, creative, and reflective educators who can lead positive change in mathematics education.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The discussion was both productive and insightful, fostering a strong sense of shared purpose between the two institutions. Dr. Wulandari also highlighted SEAQiM\u2019s openness to future joint programs and the possibility of involving UPI Tasikmalaya lecturers and students in the Centre\u2019s upcoming initiatives.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Representing the visiting delegation, Dr. Ghulam Hamdu expressed appreciation for SEAQiM\u2019s warm reception and affirmed UPI Tasikmalaya\u2019s commitment to fostering sustainable academic cooperation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWe sincerely thank SEAQiM for the hospitality and openness shown to us today. We hope to synergize our expertise and resources to create impactful programs that will benefit both our institutions and the broader educational community,\u201d said Dr. Ghulam.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The meeting concluded with the signing of a cooperation agreement between UPI Kampus Tasikmalaya and SEAQIM.
