{"id":7206,"date":"2025-10-06T15:46:25","date_gmt":"2025-10-06T08:46:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.qitepinmath.org\/en\/?p=7206"},"modified":"2025-10-06T15:46:25","modified_gmt":"2025-10-06T08:46:25","slug":"seaqim-holds-math-and-art-workshop-with-teachers-from-ogan-komering-ulu-regency","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.qitepinmath.org\/en\/our-news\/seaqim-holds-math-and-art-workshop-with-teachers-from-ogan-komering-ulu-regency\/","title":{"rendered":"SEAQiM Holds Math and Art Workshop with Teachers from Ogan Komering Ulu Regency"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Yogyakarta, 3 October 2025 \u2013 SEAMEO QITEP in Mathematics (SEAQiM) has successfully conducted the <em>Math and Art Workshop<\/em> on <strong>1\u20133 October 2025<\/strong>, with the theme <em>\u201cApplication of Mathematics in Batik Patterns.\u201d<\/em> The event was officially opened by the Director of SEAQiM, <strong>Dr. Sri Wulandari Danoebroto<\/strong>, and brought together <strong>28 mathematics teachers from Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Regency, South Sumatra<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The workshop aimed to provide teachers with new perspectives on integrating mathematics into art, particularly through batik design. Throughout the sessions, participants explored various mathematical concepts such as <strong>geometry transformation, tessellation, and fractals<\/strong>, and directly applied them in <strong>hands-on batik-making activities at Tingal Art Borobudur, Magelang<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This initiative is part of SEAQiM\u2019s commitment to enhancing mathematics learning by connecting it with cultural heritage and creativity.
