Therefore, educators are encouraged to explore various effective strategies to foster numeracy skills among students. This program, which was originally established to enhance basic numeracy skills, has now unveiled a range of innovative strategies and tools to enrich the learning process.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 8.0pt 0cm;\">In this regard, SEAQiM initiated the implementation of the \u201cProgram Pojok Numerasi\u201d which promises to transform the way students learn, improving numeracy skills among students and engaging with mathematical concepts. The heart of this initiative is a planning series to provide interactive media and tools that cater to primary school students. This program campaigns numeracy skills and will later become a space for students to explore various activities to develop numeracy skills at school. Implementation of the program is planned for 2024, especially for Yogyakarta Primary School, first. These plans begin with \u201cDiskusi Kelompok Terpumpun Pengembangan Program Pojok Numerasi\u201d which was successfully conducted on Monday, 23 October 2023, back-to-back with \u201cWorkshop Numerasi\u201d on Tuesday, 24 October 2023, on-site at Conference Room, SEAQiM. In the focused group discussion activity, the design of the program has been discussed by inviting mathematics education experts from Yogyakarta State University, Dr. Ariyadi Wijaya and Dr. Dafid Slamet Setiana, as well as twelve (12) SEAQiM regular course primary school teachers alumni from Yogyakarta as participants.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 8.0pt 0cm;\">On day one, FGD mainly collected and compiled all the inputs and suggestions from the experts to improve and develop the numeracy corner activity module prepared by SEAQiM. Experts and participants contributed to providing suggestions and thoughts for implementing of this program in 2024. Meanwhile, on day two, the Workshop Numerasi gave an overview of the activities in the numeracy corner. The workshop participants were twenty-five (25), consisting of twelve previous participants and thirteen more invited participants from Yogyakarta primary school. This workshop aims to design numeracy activities based on the children\u2019s story books recommended by Litara Foundation. Participants, divided into five (5) groups, were encouraged to choose one of the provided books. Furthermore, they were invited to identify and design a numeracy activity based on the book and form it in a simple prototype activity. The participants&#8217; enthusiasm led to the hope that their school would be selected to be the school implementing the Program Pojok Numerasi in 2024.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 8.0pt 0cm;\">In the closing remark, Dr. Sumardyono, SEAQiM Director, have high hopes for the success of this program. For this reason, various supports are needed from the government and educators to continue the program and reach even more schools and students not only in Yogyakarta but also across the city, even countries in Southeast Asia and beyond.
