This program has touched 21 (twenty-one) Primary Schools, 28 (twenty-eight) Junior High Schools, and 12 (twelve) Senior High Schools level in Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta. To follow up on the MaRWA test achievements in 2018 and foster further development for its instrument, SEAQiM conducted a \u201cFocus Group Discussion: Evaluasi Program Mathematics Regional Wide Assessment (MaRWA) dan Analisis Kebutuhan Penilaian Diagnostik\u201d on 25 October 2023, onsite at Conference Room, SEAQiM.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; margin: 0cm 0cm 8.0pt 0cm; text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; color: #0e101a; font-weight: normal;\">The assessment is designed to evaluate the mathematical proficiency of students from primary to high school levels, including a section focused on real-world problem-solving, which emphasises the importance of critical thinking and practical application of mathematical concepts. Thirty (30) teachers have come together to engage in this comprehensive discussion that mainly talked about evaluating the implementation results of the MaRWA test in Sleman district schools and determining implementation impacts as well as defining the best Diagnostic Assessment in Mathematics Learning that meets the needs in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; margin: 0cm 0cm 8.0pt 0cm; text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; color: #0e101a; font-weight: normal;\">Ms. Dwi Warni Yuliastuti, AP, M.Pd., Head of Junior High School Development Division from Sleman Regency Education Office, delivered a presentation regarding the assessment policy in the Kurikulum Merdeka, which includes formative and summative assessments\u2014continued with an explanation regarding the definition of diagnostic assessment and how to carry out diagnostic assessment in mathematics learning, provided by Dr. Ariyadi Wijaya from Yogyakarta State University. After the presentation, participants participated in a Focus Group Discussion (FGD), which consisted of two sessions\u2014. The first FGD session mainly discussed evaluating the MaRWA test and its implementation in 2018 in the Sleman district. The second session continued with an FGD regarding analysing the need for diagnostic assessment in mathematics learning. Participants spark to give input at the lively discussion. Some participants in the discussion have raised concerns about the availability of resources for mathematics education.
