The activity is one of the parts of the course that selected model teachers have to practice teaching with real students. A total of 128 students from SMPN 4 Pakem have joined this activity live. The course is scheduled for 11 \u2013 24 October 2022, virtually via Zoom Meeting and Google Classroom. This course was participated by 43 junior high school mathematics teachers from SEAMEO Member Countries, consisting of Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, and Indonesia, also 5 (five) internship students from Universitas PGRI Semarang and Universitas Musamus, Papua.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the real teaching session, the students have a session with the 4 selected teachers, separated into 2 classrooms, they are Ms Andi Sri Hardiana from SMPN 1 Bola, Ms Defi Kamilia from SMPN 6 Mataram, Ms Nur Ana Maemunah from SMP Lazuardi Al Falah Junior High Global Compassionate School, and Ms Theresia Dwi Wahyuni from Saint John Catholic School. The SEAQiM academic team and the committee, assist live at the venue, meanwhile, the model teachers are fully online via zoom. The students are introduced to ratios, cartesian coordinates, \u00a0numbers and operations, and straight lines with various mathematics applications. The students explore the activities with a compatible device they have to support ICT use, as well as an excellent internet connection. The real teaching session ended with the high enthusiasm of the students involved.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The success of real teaching is in line with the goal of the course, which aims to support teaching and learning mathematics especially for implementing the strategies and approaches the best way to teach junior high school students, as well as improving the competence of teachers in developing, creating and using ICT and technology in mathematics learning. Based on several findings, stated that in learning mathematics, the use of Information, Communication, and Technology (ICT) is very helpful for teachers in guiding students to understand and study mathematics material well. In addition, experience also shows that the use of ICT in learning has a positive impact on students&#8217; learning performance and achievement.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">All of the session covers all interesting activities about using ICT in learning mathematics. Assoc. Prof. Allan Leslie White from University of Western Sydney, Australia, is pleased to share his expertise to the participants. The participants are led to explore the GeoGebra application in the topic of geometric, number and statistics, also simple programming and coding in mathematics classrooms. Besides another core and supporting materials have been shared by the SEAQiM academic team.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dr Farida Nurhasanah, representing the Director of SEAQiM, has officially close the course. In the closing ceremony, Mr Lai Wai Tung from Malaysia expressed his gratitude and appreciation to SEAQiM for successfully conducting the course. He expressed thank you for the opportunity that will not be repeated to learn and he wishes to share his experiences with other colleagues. The course closed with the announcement of three best participants according to the academic evaluation.
