SEAMEO Regional Center for QITEP in Mathematics (SEAQiM), in research collaboration with Sebelas Maret University (UNS) and University College London (UCL), organized the Advanced online course (AOC), which was conveyed at 13 \u2013 22 September 2021 and 15-24 November 2021 through zoom meeting platform.<\/p>\n

The AOC is a forum to broaden the alumni of SEAQiM insight on the use of dynamic digital technology in mathematics learning. This course is intended to enhance the alumni’s competence through an additional course on current issues in mathematics education and best practice sharing session and participated by 30 alumni of SEAQiM in SEAMEO Member Countries.<\/p>\n

In both courses, SEAQiM invited Prof Alison as a facilitator from UCL and others from internal SEAQiM. Various topics were delivered meaningfully during the course, such as the Exploring Dynamics Digital Technology with Cornerstone Maths. In this session, the participants could explore the first four investigations in the cornerstone maths software and utilize the pupil workbook during the exploration.<\/p>\n

Another topic was the Teacher’s Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge. The participants could pinpoint the TPACK framework and identify the need to integrate dynamic digital technology\/ICT for math teaching and learning and other exciting topics.<\/p>\n

During the course, all participants could not wait to apply the knowledge gained from the facilitators, especially in using Cornerstone maths.<\/p>\n
