This annual event was supported by the SEAMEO Secretariat in collaboration with the University of Tsukuba and MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology), Japan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The symposium brought the theme Resilience for Global Citizenship, with a specific discussion about education challenges under Covid-19. The event, aimed to discuss how we as global citizens respond to the challenges in education posed by the Covid-19 pandemic and provide a platform to showcase the best practices of education responses to the pandemic and school closures in the region, was officially opened by Dr Ethel Agnes Pascua-Valenzuela. It is also expected that the forum&#8217;s attendees can consolidate the policy changes and ways forward for a &#8220;New Normal&#8221; in education.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3661 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.qitepinmath.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/apecix2-300x188.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"188\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.qitepinmath.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/apecix2-300x188.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.qitepinmath.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/apecix2.jpg 413w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dr Sumardyono delivered his presentation entitled &#8220;Math for All &amp; Its Strategic Program for Teachers in Response to Covid-19 Pandemic&#8221; in session 2. He emphasized that mathematics fora ll as an effort to make mathematics more learner-friendly, also more essential, accessible, fun and meaningful in education, and more useful and appreciated by the global community.
