Interestingly, this was the first virtual regular course held by the Centre since its first establishment 11 years ago. In total there were 31 teachers participating in this scheme. They came from Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Philippines.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 115%;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">The course run for three-week from 16 July to 5 August 2020 and was divided into two types of learning session namely synchronous and asynchronous. During the synchronous session, the participants had an online learning via Zoom and Moodle facilitated them to share during the asynchronous session. In this course, SEAQiM invited some notable mathematics experts to talk to the participants. Two of them were Prof. Allan White from the University of Western Sydney, Australia and Prof. Minoru Itoh from Tokyo University of Science, Japan.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; line-height: 115%; text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3306\" src=\"https:\/\/www.qitepinmath.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/jl20web2-300x188.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"257\" height=\"161\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.qitepinmath.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/jl20web2-300x188.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.qitepinmath.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/jl20web2.jpg 413w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 257px) 100vw, 257px\" \/>\u00a0\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3307\" src=\"https:\/\/www.qitepinmath.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/jl20web3-300x188.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"260\" height=\"163\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.qitepinmath.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/jl20web3-300x188.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.qitepinmath.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/jl20web3.jpg 413w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 260px) 100vw, 260px\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 115%;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">As usual, one of the course main activities was real teaching and the committee manage to conduct it virtually by involving students from two schools to join in. They consisted of SDI Aisiyah Jatinom &#8211; Indonesia and Sekolah Kebangsaan Dato Sharif Hamid \u2013 Malaysia. Despite the internet network issues that often hit the participants, the course run smoothly. \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 115%;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Today, at the closing ceremony, Dr. Farida Nurhasanah, representing the Director of SEAQiM, congratulated all the teachers and announced the five best participants. Ms. Citra Ceria (SDN Sungai Andai 4 Banjarmasin \u2013 Indonesia), Ms. Nurkamilah (SDN 1 Karangampel Kidul Indramayu \u2013 Indonesia), Ms. Nur Yati Zahrinah binti Haji Mohd Jaafar (Sekolah Rendah Pulaie \u2013 Brunei Darussalam), Mr. Muhammad Saffuan bin Jaffar (Sekolah Kebangsaan Dato Sharif Hamid \u2013 Malaysia), and Ms. Ninik Fatmawati (SDN Bligo Sidoarjo \u2013 Indonesia), came first to fifth respectively.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 115%;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>First Virtual Regular Course Fascinated 31 SEA Teachers<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":3305,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_expiration-date-status":"","_expiration-date":0,"_expiration-date-type":"","_expiration-date-categories":[],"_expiration-date-options":[]},"categories":[7],"tags":[118,183,182],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v19.2 -
