Under the theme, DECIMAL &#8211; Decade of Inspiring Mathematics Learning, the Centre began its series of events by having <em>potong tumpeng<\/em>. The celebration was attended by the Director of SEAQiM, Dr. Sumardyono, accompanied by the Head of PPPPTK Matematika Yogyakarta, Dr. Daswatia Astuty, and witnessed by all SEAQiM\u2019s management and staff.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 115%;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Calibri Light',sans-serif;\">\u201cLet&#8217;s make this anniversary a milestone to further develop SEAQiM in the future. Viva SEAQiM!\u201d Dr. Sumardyono said at the end of his speech.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; line-height: 115%;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2455 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.qitepinmath.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/web_annv2-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.qitepinmath.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/web_annv2-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.qitepinmath.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/web_annv2.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; line-height: 115%; text-align: center;\">One Day Workshop<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 115%;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Calibri Light',sans-serif;\">The highlight of the celebration was the One Day Workshop on STEM Education and Integrating Scientific Calculator organized on the same day and got supported by the Casio Education. A total of 30 teachers from Yogyakarta and its surrounding participated in the workshop. Inviting as special guests for this event were the winners of SEAQiM\u2019s DECIMAL FIESTA Competition in ecoprint, video, and photography on joyful and inspiring mathematics teaching and learning held before. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 115%;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Calibri Light',sans-serif;\">With the support of the Alumni Grant Scheme administrated by Australia Awards in Indonesia, the Centre also exhibited several products of \u201cKampung STEM Joho\u201d including ecoprint, soy milk, and educational toys. \u201cKampung STEM Joho\u201d is the Centre community service programme launched in 2018. It aims to engage the community in Joho Village and its surrounding with STEM daily activities.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; line-height: 115%;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2456 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.qitepinmath.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/web_annv3-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.qitepinmath.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/web_annv3-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.qitepinmath.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/web_annv3-272x182.jpg 272w, https:\/\/www.qitepinmath.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/web_annv3.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; line-height: 115%; text-align: center;\">STEM Competition<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 115%;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Calibri Light',sans-serif;\">Another activity hosted by SEAQiM was STEM Competition for children aimed to promote the \u201cKampung STEM Joho\u201d to public. The event covered two categories of competition namely Balloon Car and Stick Bridge Challenge.
