Conducted in the Centre\u2019s Conference Room, the course are participated by primary school teachers from 8 SEAMEO Member Countries namely Cambodia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 115%;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Calibri Light',sans-serif;\">To show its best commitment to nurture the quality of mathematics teachers in the region, SEAQiM has invited some experts in the field to facilitate the participants. One of them is Assoc. Prof. Maarten Dolk from the Freudenthal Institute, Utrecht University of the Netherland. The institute takes its name from German-Dutch Professor Hans Freudenthal who had been the spiritual father of realistic mathematics education.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; line-height: 115%;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2307 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.qitepinmath.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/rme191-300x188.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"188\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.qitepinmath.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/rme191-300x188.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.qitepinmath.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/rme191.jpg 413w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 115%;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Calibri Light',sans-serif;\">This course aims to enhance primary school teachers\u2019 competence in mathematics teaching and learning using realistic mathematics education approach.
