The workshop was conducted today, 8 April 2019 at Gauss Building, PPPPTK Matematika, Yogyakarta.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; line-height: 115%; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Calibri Light',sans-serif;\">Within the first session of the workshop, the participants was introduced to STEM education for Industrial Revolution 4.0. The discussion was facilitated by one of SEAQiM\u2019s academic team, Ms. Uki Rahmawati. To further participants understanding on the application of STEM in mathematics teaching and learning, Ms. Uki invited them to explore one of STEM activities, a paper tower challenge. They were encouraged to create a tower from a piece of paper and 10 cm length tape using Smart Measure application. This activity succeeded in engaging the participants.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: .0001pt; line-height: 115%;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-2285 aligncenter\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.qitepinmath.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/webuhamka2-300x188.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"188\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.qitepinmath.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/webuhamka2-300x188.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.qitepinmath.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/webuhamka2.jpg 413w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; line-height: 115%; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Calibri Light',sans-serif;\">The participants also learnt how to develop IT-based mathematics teaching and learning to meet the challenges of teaching mathematics in this Industrial Revolution 4.0 with Mr. Wahid Yunianto. He presented a digital game-based learning media utilizing Scratch application where participants could create their own interactive games to help their future students think creatively.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; line-height: 115%; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Calibri Light',sans-serif;\">Moreover, the representatives of UHAMKA took the opportunity during their one-day visit to seek the possibility of establishing a collaboration with the Centre through an MoU.
