As a Centre which focuses on developing teachers and education personnel’s professional skills, teaching models are needed to give a concrete example of approaches, strategies and teaching methods for training participants.
Collaborating with experts, the Centre designs teaching models to be used in the classroom. Teaching models are implemented, observed and revised before its actual use. To date, the Centre has developed 29 teaching models for various themes and school levels . These teaching models are then used for best practices for the Centre and for mathematics teachers in general.
SEAQIM has openly invited teachers to collaborate with the Centre in designing teaching models. Teaching models sent to the Centre will be selected and the top 10 will be invited to Yogyakarta to present their teaching models. From these ten, the best 3 will awarded to continue to the next workshop session. The Centre will facilitate teachers to develop and revise their teaching models where needed.
